Carne Asada

1 lb. beef sliced thin ( some stores sell beef-carne asada style)

1 clove of garlic, pressed

1 Tb. of chili powder

1 tsp. of Adobo Goya with pepper or cumin

4 Tbs. of oil

Mix beef with garlic, Adobo, chili powder, and 2 Tbs. of oil. Heat 2 Tbs. of oil to medium-hot and fry steak about 2 to 3 minutes each side.

* Season Spanish steak the night before and surprize your family the next day with an authentic South American meal made in only 30 minutes. 5 minutes to set up cooking beans in crock pot, 5 minutes to fry steak, and 20 minutes to cook rice.

Refried Beans

Blend beans or mash them with fork. Add a little water if beans paste is too thick. Heat 2 Tbs of olive oil or any other kind and stir fry beans for about 3 minutes or until desired consistency. Place beans in a bowl and garnish with one or more of the following: grated cheese, chopped green onions, sour cream, and cilantro. Serve as a dip with corn chips or Fritos Lay. It is a great topping for tacos, sopallos, or to make burritos.

* Cooked beans can be stored in the freezer very well.
